I’m Camilla, a 23yr old and brand new graduate of English and American Literature. I currently work as an intern for a Christian public policy organisation, and I am grateful to use my writing to contribute to this cause.
My degree taught me about seeing things from several points of view. It also showed me that Christianity, to most of my peers, is irrelevant.
I have also learned that many people see the wrong side of Christianity and are completely put off by it. As a result, they think following Jesus means serving a God who is distant, impersonal, angry and judgmental.
This blog exists because I want to challenge such notions.
Sometimes, I am compelled to share the things that God lays on my heart, so that others might be encouraged, or simply to stir thought.
The name of this blog comes from Proverbs 31:25 -‘she is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future’ (New Living Translation). I feel that in this simple sentence, so much of who I’d like to become is embodied.
I love to sing and to paint. I love capturing beauty in a photograph. (I have a Flickr account where you can track my progress with my recently acquired DSLR: Click here!) I love vintage fashion and old movies. And coffee…. lots of coffee.
But I have two great passions: writing, and people. In my dreams for the future I’d like to demonstrate these interests in a way that inspires, builds and encourages. Whatever that ends up looking like.
If you feel this blog is worth sharing, please share it.
Thanks for stopping by.
